Hetalia has people who manhandle flags and behave disrespectfully.

Homestuck has people who hit cosplayers with buckets.

Sherlock has people who don’t respect the actor’s privacy.

Supernatural has people who say Sera Gamble should be strung up for how she “ruined” the show.

But you know what all of these fandoms also have? Dedicated, talented people who produce wonderful art and fiction. People who engage in intelligent conversation about their source material, and people who are respectful and kind and all around decent folk.

I know its incredibly easy to generalize, but I wish sometimes people would think twice before stating that they irrevocably “hate” a fandom.
