While it’s true that “chatte” is a slang for pussy.
It depends on the context. Chatte is also used to refer to a female cat.lmao no I know! But I only ever really see chat used. I remember looking it up in a dictionary and asking my teacher and she just said to use chat.
I found out later because of the pussy connotation…I mean, it’s the same in English! Pussy does mean cat just lmao
Well, chatte is also used commonly for the correct use.
It’s true that chat is used more often, but that’s because male if often the neutral default choice, so when you don’t know the cat gender or are referencing to a group of cats, chat is mostly always used.
But I understand why you might see this as awkward XD
