A few days ago, I announced the idea of making a Russia/America centric Visual Novel during this summer. The idea has been quite well received and it looks like a lot of people are willing to participate in this.
Sadly, only a limited number of people will be needed to take part of this project. This post will explain what position will be need and what is needed to apply to them. In case you are wondering, I’ll be the one handling the coding and putting the game together.

First, let’s explain which positions are needed in each department.
Art Staff needed: 1 Characters Artist, 1-2 Backgrounds Artists and 1 CG Artist.
The Character Artist’s job is to draw the characters that will be seen on screen. It will be required to draw the same characters in various different poses and face expressions.
The Background Artist’s job is to draw the backgrounds that will be displayed throughout the games. The backgrounds will need to be fully coloured.
The CG Artist’s job is to make complete, fully coloured pictures that will be displayed at key moments during the game.
Story Staff needed: 2 Writers, 1 On-screen Dialogue Writer
The Writers’ job will be to write the story and the dialogues that will be shown on screen. This story will be a multi-routes one, so they must be ready to write something that can take many different turns.
The On-screen Dialogue Writer’s job will be to take the story given by the writers and transform it into the text that will be displayed in-game.
Music Staff needed: 1-2 Music Staff
The Music Staff’s job is to find the background music that will be played throughout the games. It will need to be instrumental music for the most part, and preferably not something instantly recognizable (for example, no music from Harry Potter movies).
Test Staff needed: 1 Game Tester, 1 Text Beta
The Game Tester’s job will be to test the game and see if any bug happens, if the images display well and basically checks if the game is running fine on all aspect.
The Text Beta’s job will be to make sure that the in-game text is free of mistake and that the story is coherent.
